None of the documents within this archive section have any formal status in planning policy terms, and they are not considered to be capable of being material considerations when determining planning applications. They are included purely for information. Current planning policies can be viewed here.

The Local Plan 1999

The Local Plan was adopted by the Council on 27 August 1999), but has now been superseded by the Council's Local Development Documents, including the Core Strategy and the Development Management Policies DPD, available under the tab 'Development Plan for Woking'. Please note that although the Local Plan 1999 does not have any formal status in planning policy terms, a number of Supplementary Planning Guidance documents that were originally produced to provide further guidance on its policies do remain relevant, and are now referred to in the Development Management Policies DPD.
