Core Strategy Submission Consultation Statement
This statement has been prepared to demonstrate how Woking Borough Council has involved the public and its key partners in the Core Strategy process. The Council had decided that public involvement will be at the heart of the process and this statement highlights how this has been achieved at each stage of the process.
The Core Strategy has been prepared in accordance with the Town and Country Planning (Local Development) (England) Regulations 2004 and its subsequent amendments. It outlines who was consulted and how they were consulted. It also presents a summary of the main issues raised and explains how they have been addressed by the Council.
This Consultation Statement is prepared in accordance with Regulation 27 of the Town and Town and Country Planning (Local Development) (England) Regulations 2004 (as amended) which requires the publication alongside the Proposed Submission Core Strategy, of a statement setting out the following:

a summary of the main issues raised by those representations, and
